It's and extra flap of material sewn into the inboard shoulder belt that prevents sliding under the lap belt upon impact or extreme driving conditions. With ASM, one of the shoulder belts will elongate at different rate which forces the pelvis down into the seat cushion. Upon rebound the occupant will be placed back in an upright
