Everything about this lovely stoneware bowl makes me believe it is a piece by highly collectible mid-century studio potter Frank C

and hawking nose-- made all the better by the orange and black striped hat resting atop his head

enhancing the feeling of this as its own little homestead

It was once the front screen of a c. 1880 Walker and Pratt parlor stove, which had a side load door, so that the front was just the fire view, gorgeously framed!
