Darned and darned and darned some more, heel, toe, top, bottom, and up the back pure darning terminating in a point that makes the whole think look a little like a Jack in the Pulpit. What a wonder, and about as pure an embodiment of endurance, and resilience, and labor born of necessity as one could imagine. Though not the least bit religious,
