which a little research reveals began operations in 1864

There is a big fat glaze drip on one side

Beautifully gestural, the line they hold to barely there, and with very excellent shadows of their young bodies in the ripples on the lake. Very gentle. With a note on the back that identifies this as Hudson Lake. 5 3 8" x 3 1 2", very good condition. "Hudson Lake" written in pencil on reverse.
