This beautiful small pottery plate with two spiraling fish is a bit of a mystery

in an inexpensive contemporary frame which I think suits it fine but from which it is easily removed if desired

which I have not worked on but which might come away with some bleach or baking soda

eyes and hands and feet and skeletons and forces of nature

with just a bit of loss of gilding in a few spots

And then this one little house, positioned exactly under the cloud, as if the cloud centered itself on the house in order to provide a bit of shade, or to lend a little coziness amid the vastness. To my eye formally, and metaphorically, perfect. 4 1 8" x 2 7 8", very good condition, clean and crisp.
