Description
which I really like for the interesting configuration of shapes and use of text
There is not a whole lot out there about Renate Scheer Kalkofen (1935-2013) who created this print (a 4 color screen print I believe) in 1961
black nose
which included many fine antiques

Antique Brush with Turned Handle and Old Gold Paint mid-century graphic design which I really like forI love an old brush, and the old gold paint on the ferrule of this one just struck me as especially lovely. The black painted turned wooden handle is pretty nice too, with a hole near the end to thread a ribbon through should one wish to hang it. There is a little bristle loss on one side (horsehair I believe) but the rest of the bristles are tightly held and tapered to give it a beautiful shape. 9 3 4" l x 1 3 4" in diameter at ferrule. Late 19th
