Bottom half is 5 1/2" tall

from strong brow to proud nose to deeply carved  long whiskers--adding up to a sense that this cat is rather staring one down and clearly has the upper hand

I'm not entirely sure of the age

stiff gray board and dated on the back 5/19/76

which operated from 1859 to 1899--so the toy is well over a hundred years old

Geometric Forms Color Study Vintage Watercolor tool Bottom half is 5 1/2"This is the smaller of two abstract vintage watercolors I'm listing by the same unknown artist, I'd guess likely done as art school exercises, though I am not entirely certain. They've both got a bit of a Hilma af Klint vibe, this one with a more dense and saturated concentration of elongated triangular forms, transforming in color as they cross the outlined borders of the round forms. Luminous, it keeps making me think of a stained glass window.
