This is not my typical sort of find

but this one makes the best of pets

I believe this piece dates from the first quarter of the 20th century and would have been made for the tourist market

My general philosophy is to buy things whose sheer existence makes me happy

There is a very faint Germany mark on the underside, which was often used for post war West German pottery while West and East were divided (and clearly this is a mid c. piece, but I am not certain of the maker and havent been able to find its likeness out there. Whatever the case, it takes a pretty striking
