This is a very lovely hand-colored engraving from a 19th century volume on entomology

Surrounding the JJC is "Taxco 925 / Hecho En Mexico" and there is a second mark with a "3" in the center

4 3/8" t x 1 3/4" w x 1 5/8" d and in excellent antique condition

Plus some other letters it's a bit hard to decipher. I'd guess this one saw wartime, but
