Tasted at the d’Issan vertical held at the property
yields of 22 hl/ha in 2015)
An impressively complex nose offers up aromas of rose petals
This is a deceptive wine as it appears unduly easy yet it’s not simple and possesses sufficient buried structure to permit this to improve for 5 years and last for 10 to 12
I have always had a weakness for Roberto Voerzio's 2000 Barolo Cerequio
Bellevue Mondotte Vintage:2004 Tasted at the d’Issan verticalRuby red. Roasted plum, toffee, game and nutty oak on the nose. Lush, fat and stuffed with fruit. A wonderfully pliant 2002 with noteworthy density and richness. Sound acids and suave but firm edged tannins give this excellent balance. Finishes very long and ripe. This is even stronger than it appeared to be from barrel last spring. Stephen Tanzer
